The work

I am Maximo Dardano, a Uruguayan artist. Since 2022 I have used AI as a studio tool, not as a spectacle.

My language is small and exact: an off-center halo, a single golden fracture, an archival patina. Light displaced from the center. A seam that does not decorate. A surface that remembers.

I began in lyrical geometric abstraction. The work has since expanded without abandoning that grammar: landscapes, thresholds, lichen, quiet figures seen from behind — the same halo, the same wound of gold, the same silence.

These are not scenes. They are appearances. A figure waits. A path holds light. Nature has already drawn the map. The mystery does not descend upon the world; it rises through its cracks.

Each piece is a unique 1/1. The collection is Lyrical Halos Evolution. A canon in motion — personal, poetic, still expanding.

Halo and fracture

Two decisions hold the work together.

The halo is never in the center. It arrives from the side, from behind a ridge, from the grain of the paint. It does not crown the image; it inhabits it.

The fracture is only one. A brass hairline. A path. A crack that behaves like kintsugi: not damage on display, but a seam that keeps the field in conversation with itself.

I do not add a third event. If the light is displaced and the gold is single, the rest can stay quiet. That quiet is the style.

Nature already drew it

Some surfaces do not need to be invented.

Lichen maps a wall. Bark holds a constellation. Sediment stacks a ledger. A night field is already a diagram if you do not fill it.

I look for places where matter has done the abstract work first. Then I add only what my language requires: an off-center glow, one golden seam, the patina of something kept.

The painting is less a landscape than a threshold — the moment a stone or a moss colony starts to read as writing.

The figure

When a body enters, it does not pose.

It is seen from behind, or half-dissolved, or waiting at the edge of a path. The face is rarely given. The gesture is small. No drama, no appeal to the viewer.

I am not painting portraits. I am painting presence — someone who remembers an origin, or approaches a light without claiming it.

If the figure becomes a story, I have gone too far.

If it remains a silhouette that belongs to the halo and the seam, it is still the same canon.
